Psalm 139:5, You Hem Me In

I just shared a bit on Instagram stories about a little lightbulb moment I had today. The Lord is working and answering prayers and for the first time in a long time I’ve been waiting in peace- knowing He will answer and knowing His plan is better than mine.

I’ve been able to be HOPEful even if what happens isn’t my plan.

I’m a planner by nature so while I have prayed for things in the past, I know my heart hasn’t always fully committed them to the Lord. I’ve wondered and worried and stressed about them. This time- the Lord brought me to a place that only He could. I have been able to be patient and wait on Him. I’ve been able to not worry or stress- “Who by worrying adds a single hour to his life?” Luke 12:25

One of the greatest JOYS I’ve found in having a relationship with Christ is when we know it’s ALL HIM and none of us working. On my own I would worry, but He has carried me and brought me to this place.

Jame 1:5-6 “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.”

Don’t we often feel like that? When we don’t just seek Him? When we seek others and get so dang confused?

I’m human, so I know I’ll be back to a place of worry some moment, some day. Until then, I’m thankful for the faith God has increased that He truly is working out all things according to the plans He has.

Psalm 139:5- “You hem me in, behind and before and you lay your hand upon me.”
